Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, this was to be a comprehensive resort (a planned unit development), that combined several underutilized lots, all owned by the same family. It was a hybrid alternative of the Emerald Shores planned unit development. The Vertigo proposal includes a phased ocean front tower, a second row commercial facility housing the reception and retail, with a restaurant and meeting space above. The third row property has rentable townhouses and parking garage. The townhouses are designed for owner occupancy year round, though they could be rented on a daily basis. The collapse of the real estate market came before working drawings began on this project.
