A popular Myrtle Beach restaurant, Rossi's, wanted to relocate to an existing outparcel building at a shopping center alongside busy King's Highway. Doing so required renovating what was an interior design business into a full-service elegant dining venue. For most of the exteriors, this involved a color change on the painted brick to a palette that mimics the Mediterranean classical styles of Italy to go along with the restaurant menu. Stucco cornice trims were added, plus deeper window surrounds to enhance the facades. The window surrounds included spaces for signage to advertise meals offered. Applied muntins were installed on the large storefront windows to again create an older more intimate style for the building. The triangular gable over the existing front entry is replaced with a squared tower emphasizing the classical look. Finally, a wooden vestibule extension completes the transformation, to make the main entrance resemble a restaurant one might find on a side street in old Napoli. Much of the interior work involved working with the MEP engineer to fit the necessary kitchen equipment into a building not originally designed as a restaurant. The public spaces are divided into three separate dining areas surrounding the bar, which has a space for a grand piano used to entertain diners.
