Mozingo + Wallace has done several versions of this building, as the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad, a non-profit organization, has used the proposal to raise the funds for their headquarters. This latest version is to be located near the City of North Myrtle Beach's Municipal Complex. Though not an official city department, the all-volunteer members wanted its building to blend with the city's buildings, and requested a masonry finish on a one-story modern structure. The plan is typical of many fire stations, with the addition of a large Meeting Room. One of the Squad's mandates is community activism, so its program demanded a facility that could lend its space to neighborhood and civic club meetings, as well provide emergency procedure training programs for the citizens of North Myrtle Beach
