Having had to take over a small shopping strip adjacent to the old Myrtle Square Mall in 2000, Coastal Federal was searching for ways to revitalize the center. Mozingo + Wallace was asked to explore the various retrofit options in turning the building into a complex of shops, offices, and eateries. These drawings present three of those considerations, and a style of architecture. Coastal Federal eventually decided to turn the building into a training center for bank employees. The mall was now struggling, given its location and an increasingly competitive market.
